Just under 2 hours remain for me living in my hometown. I won’t say that I’m sad because several challenges await me, and I am excited about that.

My feeling for this city is something incomprehensible. Is it the air? Or could it be the climate? Maybe the beauty of the women?

A few weeks ago, during a brainstorm about Belo Horizonte, I concluded that among all the reasons we love Beagá, the greatest of all is the people. And they are the ones I will miss the most. Sitting alone in a bar and ending the night laughing with several people by your side. Asking for information on the street and seeing that, even if the person doesn’t know, they are doing everything to help you.

Belo Horizonte is a city that fulfills its purpose: being a society where people help each other to grow, live, and be happy. After all, for what other reason should we live close to each other?

Here, I made several friendships, learned, grew, and shaped myself as a person. I know how to navigate the city, calmly and without fear of not being able to get where I want to go. Here, I know the best bars and restaurants (and the worst too!). And if I learned this once, why not learn it again? That is what excites me the most in this whole story!

I hope Rio de Janeiro brings me as much happiness as Belo Horizonte has brought me in the last 22 years. And even though my life now needs new horizons, Belo Horizonte will always be in my memory (and probably in several weekends still, so: stop the drama Thiago).
